Jam sessions
These are springing up everywhere with the main two being at Casa Maria on Monday evenings from 9pm onwards and at El Ancla on Sundays at 5pm. At both you get to hear some different choices in music and some great performances from local musicians. All musicians of all styles and capabilities are invited to go and try their talents out on very supportive audiences. Get along and support these events - they are well worth it.

Visiting performer

Last month saw a visit from England of another itinerant country and folk singer, Vince Townsend. He fronts two or three bands in Yorkshire and writes many of his own songs. He played in several small bars, private parties and at venues around and outside Nerja. His Liverpool humour, added to his soulful singing, has captured the hearts of many people. He is hoping to return again soon either for an extended visit or to live here permanently.
