Hello and welcome to the November issue of Soltalk. Hasn’t the year gone fast, next month it will be Christmas for goodness sake! To get you in the mood we’ve included a few Christmas themed books in Book Talk on page 40 and the Costa Animal Society (CAS) are holding a Christmas Fayre this month, for details see page 44. Later on in November why not pop into Málaga and see the amazing Christmas lights? See page 14 for details.
On the other hand you could just go to the beach and pretend it’s not really happening! Let’s hope the late summer weather we enjoyed in October continues this month. Although, it’s not helping water levels in the region and we should really be doing a rain dance instead.
Expect more British visitors this month. Apparently the UK has regained its position as the leading country from which visitors come the Costa del Sol. Around 480,000 seats on flights from the UK are expected to be available between October and December, bringing the total capacity from foreign and domestic airports to over two million seats. Airports operator Aena said 1.3 million passengers passed through the airport during September, 67% of the total in the same month two years ago.
Let’s hope many of them come to Nerja and give local business a boost! Meanwhile put your feet up and have a good read. And if you haven’t done so already, please like us on Facebook! Thank you. We hope you have a great month, and enjoy this issue!
