The 62nd annual Nerja Caves Festival will be held in Maro between June 30 and August 12.  Performances will include classical music, dance and flamenco, and will offer more performances than ever before.

Launching the programme last month, Nerja’s mayor José Alberto Armijo said, “The festival is a fundamental pillar of the cultural offerings of Nerja, complementing the cultural programming of the Town Council,” as well as promoting the tourist values of the Caves and Nerja.

Those expected to appear this year include Les Luthiers, María Peláe, Mecano Experience, Los Morancos, Miguel Poveda, Sara Baras and Pastora Soler, Raphael, María José Llergo, Diana Navarro, a musical by Tadeo Jones, and the Classic Night Tribute to Manuel del Campo.  Tickets for this year’s 15 performances are already on sale.
