Visit ‘Little Madrid’ - Macharaviaya

Another great trip with Nerja’s International Club. Join them on a route of the wine and raisins, starting at the pretty village of Macharaviaya, once known as ‘Little Madrid’. Visit the museum of Macharaviaya to find out about the village’s connection to the American War of Independence. Then visit Moclinejo to see its colourful mosaic art gallery with time to stop for wine and tapas. The trip then takes you to visit to El Borge. Dia del Pedal, Nerja
February 28, 8pm.
Celebrated on Andalusia day which is a local holiday. Dia del Pedal is a fun filled event open to all ages. Thousands of cyclists hit the streets of Nerja to complete an official cycle route around the town. Held each year for over 30 years, Día del Pedal is open to all, hop on your bike and join the race or sit back and enjoy the spectacle.
