Hello and welcome to the March edition of Soltalk. First of all we’d like to say a special thank you to Gill Kyle for giving us gorgeous photograph she took for our front cover. And even more wonderful it was taken on January 19th this year!
Well it’s March and the highlight of the month will of course be Paddy’s Day on Friday 17th March.
A quick reminder to those from the UK that Mothering Sunday – to use its original name – is on Sunday March 19th this year. Not to be confused with Spanish Mother’s Day which will be on Sunday May 7th. Some lucky Mums may get to celebrate both of course.
Have you been affected by delays to the post from the UK? Apparently there was a cyber attack on the Post Office in January which led to long delays for customers. After the ransomware attack, Royal Mail customers were told to stop sending parcels and mail overseas altogether. Affected customers – many of them small businesses – complained of long delays that made sending goods abroad impossible.
Not that we have any problems with posting things here in Nerja, as long as you have time to take a number then gauge going to do your other shopping just right so you return before your number is called!
